Once again rock star winemaker Francoise Chidaine has hit it out of the park, not with one of his world class, (pricey but superb) Montlouis or Vouvray wines, but with an affordable Sauvignon Blanc that will give many a Sancerre at 2-3 times the price a run for the money!

It's 100% Sauvignon Blanc sourced from several vineyards (some organic) in the region of Touraine, including a vineyard called Clos de la Grange from which the wine gets its name. Grapes are grown in clay mixed with flint and clay with a chalky subsoil. Fermentation in steel tanks preserve this wine's bright fresh fruit, crisp focus and minerality, and beautiful acidity.

It has lovely citrus and stone fruit notes on the nose that follow onto the palate, accentuated by textural minerality. Perfect for sipping all on its own, it's also the perfect match for mild seafood - shrimp, sushi, clams, oysters - salads, goat cheese and more. Simply a lot of wine for the money!
