Love Sancerre but not the high prices? We have the answer!
96 Point Chris Cree Wine Value Score - “Leads off with lemon, lime zest and oyster shell, with subtle citrus notes and a crisp, zippy focus. A perfect balance of silky texture and tensile minerality wind up this wine’s incredible flavors. ”
Marin Dudard’s racy, mineral laden Sauvignon Blanc from Loire Valley vines not far from the hallowed vineyards of Sancerre offers much of the same crisp, focused and delicious charcater of the wines I love so much. Perfect for sushi, ceviche, tuna or salmon tartare, mild fish, shrimp and oysters on the half shell of course, great all on its own too!
Why is it so good? It’s farmed, harvested and vinified just like much more expenisve Sancerre or Pouilly Fumé, from 25 year old vines planted in prime rocky clay limestone soils. Plus it’s HEV certified sustainable, and fermented and aged in stainless steel to keep it crisp and fresh.
