Try this perfect end of summer white with salads, shellfish, mild seafood, sushi, crudo & ceviche and all on its own! A refreshing, zippy blend of traditional grapes of northwest Portugal, 40% Arinto, 30% Trajadura, 30% Loureiro.
The Quinta de Santiago is a multi generational, small family winery located in the north of Portugal in some of the best white wine terroirs in the country. Though the family has been farming grapes, olive oil, lupine, cereals, milk, meat, and fruit - mainly just for family consumption.
In 2009 Joana Santiago began to make wine in earnest, bottling & selling wines made from sustainably farmed, indigenous local varieties. We tasted through the lineup and all were stunning, delicious, and truly reflective of the cool, maritime climate of the region. But it was their least expensive wine that we fell in love with for its bright refreshing citrus tinged fruit and its incredible price. Chhers!
