• Vineyard: Several small parcels owned by Rafa with an average vine age of 25 years. Mostly Godello but a small mix of other white varieties. All the parcels are around the municpality of "O Bolo" giving the wine its name. The smaller villages where the vines are located are Chandoiro, Lentellais and Santa Cruz do Bolo
• Soil: The soils are a mix of granitic sands
• Viticulture: All work is done by hand and practicing organics and biodynamics
• Vinification: The must is fermented in foudres (35 hl) of Normand French oak
• Aging: The wine ages on the fine lees in foudre for 4 months before bottling

• Rafa is focused on white wines from Godello
• The sortes parcels are all on the Western edge of Valdeorras around O Bolo where the elevations are high, the soils include granite and fresh energetic godello can be produced.

The young, balsamic and still faintly medicinal entry-level white 2023 Louro is dense, ripe and powerful at 13.9% alcohol, pungent and intense with a bitter twist in the finish. It's very tasty, almost salty, with cleanliness and precision, combining power with freshness and elegance. This is quite impressive and a preview of the rest of the 2023s to come. 215,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2024.
