"When fruit from this Atlas Peak vineyard became available to us, we decided it was the perfect time for syrah to return to our portfolio after nearly a 10 year absence. This low-yield, high elevation vineyard, is located on the steep westerly slopes of Atlas Peak and is meticulously maintained by growers Phil and Hilary Brody. We eek out a ton of fruit per vintage and each drop is liquid gold. The wine has a classic syrah profile - earth, spice, meatiness with refined but ample tannins. This is a classic, cool climate-like Syrah to enjoy over the next 8-10 years."
