Esporão Private Selection red was launched for the first time in 1987, under the name “Garrafeira”. Initially produced from the best barrels of Esporão Reserva, today this wine results from a combination of select fields in the territories where we are present, in Alentejo. A wine that expresses the diversity and richness of Esporão. In exceptional years, this combination originates Torre do Esporão.

Grape Varieties: Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Touriga Franca

Deep and dark. Complex aroma of mature black fruit, hints of fresh cocoa and Pepper. A silky texture but equally compact, firm tannic structure to ensure persistence and intensity.

Big, rich and dense, this is a powerful wine. The concentration and solid, smoky fruits show most strongly. With its blend including Alicante Bouschet, the wine has firm tannins and a dark color. It is just mature, so drink now or wait until 2022.
