"Cécile Grongnet is making absolutely superb wines these days and her entry level Blanc de Blancs is one of the best values out there in the world of non-vintage Brut Champagne. The wine is still youthful, but also open and complex on the nose, offering up scents of pear, hazelnut, a lovely base of limestone minerality, a nice touch of citrus zest and a gently smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and nascently complex, with a good core, zesty acids, elegant mousse and a long, very nicely balanced finish. Fine juice." - A View From the Cellar
Grongnet Description
"This Champagne shows wonderful freshness and vibrancy. For lovers of elegant and fine Blanc de Blancs: it’s showing lifted citrus, jasmine and acacia notes with creamy, brioche overlays. This cuvee possesses a superfine mousse with a wonderful finish that lingers long on the palate. Grongnet wines do not undergo malolactic fermentation, giving a spine of refreshing acidity that make you look forward to the next exquisite mouthful!"
