From one of Barolo's greatest vineyards and producers comes a classic wine that I am usually allocated just a case or two before it immediately sells out. But today I have received a very generous allocation of this magnificent wine, (still just a handful of cases though.) We opened it immediately on arrival and we were awestruck, our senses overwhelmed with aromas and flavors that are about as good as you can expect from the Nebbiolo grape in this superb terroir.

Warm kirsch tones, dried red cherry, savory herbs, leather, spice, nicely supported by super fine tannins. It is silky and seductive, but also powerful, layered and complex at the same time showing great potential for the future. Yet it is drinking amazingly well, even at this tender age, and there is another gear of underlying depth and richness that will emerge with 5-10 years in the cellar.
