One of our best values in Napa Cabernet is back after a hiatus where we skipped the 2020 due to the difficult harvest and growing season. With prices for Napa Cab regularly breaking the $100 mark (and more!) finding a reasonably priced gem for under $50 is rare! Especially one sourced from grapes grown in classic gravelly loam soils found in some of the best vineyards in the valley. The 2021 is dark, richly layered blend. of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Petit Verdot, aged in French oak for 18 months, 10% new.
It is textbook Napa Cabernet Sauvignon with ample dark fruit and loaded with cassis & blackberry fruit, hints of mocha, earth and espresso, with supple ripe tannins, a gentle touch of oak, and a long, full finish. Perfect for game day nachos, sliders, burgers, or a more serious menu paired with steaks, pork roast or chops, lamb, and game.
