Chris Cree MW - Value Score: 100 Points
This wine scores a perfect 100 points for being one of the best and most unique wines we sell! It’s an impeccable paring with shellfish, shrimp, crudo, ceviche or tuna fish preparations, meatier fish and all kinds of cheeses too!
THIS IS A MUST HAVE WINE - And it has one of the greatest wine labels ever!
It’s also a perpetual staff favorite, perfectly capturing the high altitude alpine environment where it is made, and expressing pure minerality, focus, precision, and intensity.
It’s made from 100% Prie Blanc, a grape only grown here in the highest vineyards in Europe on the summit of Mont Blanc. Because these vineyards are so isolated, Pavese has been able to work with the original, pre-phylloxera root stock since that malady never infiltrated this area when it came sweeping through Europe many years ago.
