Our Favorite “Baby” Châteauneuf du Pape” and best selling Côtes du Rhône ever!

The Rhône Region Over Delivers Again! This has been our hands favorite value and best seller from the southern Rhône over the last several vintages, and this dynamic family Domaine has done it again with their succulently delicious 2023 Côtes Du Rhône La Friandise.  Those of you who have bought it in the past know how good this is - time to restock! For the rest your absolutley need to get to know this amazing bargain

A delicious "baby Chateauneuf du Pape” and a perfect everyday affordable winter red. Stock up now with limited time introductory pricing, or come in through Thanksgiving weekend, grab a seat at the bar or by the fireplace, and try before you buy!

“Friandise” roughly translates to “fruity, supple, elegant….something that pleases everyone”, and this bargain Côtes du Rhône rouge has it in spades! Made from 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Counoise, its Grenache dominant blend offers up plenty of kirschy red cherry fruit, accented with a little cassis and spice from the Syrah and Counoise.

It’s medium to full bodied, with soft supple tannins and a long lingering finish that make this simply a joy to drink now and for the next 3-5 years. Great all on its own on a fall afternoon or evening, better yet served with roasted chicken, turkey, duck breast, game birds, pork, veal, lamb, burgers, cheeses and more. Also a perfect match for your Thanksgiving table especially for larger family gatherings as it won’t break the bank!

Located in the Southern part of the Côtes du Rhône appellation, near Châteauneuf du Pape, this old estate has been in the same family for six generations, with the current generations of Marc Serguier, his wife, and his son carrying on the tradition on their 30 ha property (just five planted to vines). The domaine and the traditional farmhouse date back from the 17th Century.

Nicolas has been farming organically for several years at least, eliminating chemical inputs and favoring more natural techniques, with Organic Certification coming in 2023. The wine is also Vegan, with no animal products used at all.
