This Côte de Nuits-Villages Rouge is loaded with silky flavors of crushed red fruit, wet rocks, mushrooms, and terroir. Serve slightly-chilled with red meat, white meat or seared fish.
The Cote de Nuits Villages Rouge comes from 0.80 hectares across three different parcels west of the village of Corgoloin. The vines on average are now forty years old. The grapes are not destemmed and the extractions are light with manual punchdowns and some pumping over. The wine is aged for fourteen to sixteen months entirely in barrel, only around 10% of which is new.
