Dhondt-Grellet Description
100% Cramant Grand Cru Chardonnay. It is vinified in stainless steel tank. Dosage is 3g/l.
Made of two lieux-dits that bring different perspectives of the village :
Les Longues Verges - early ripening site that produces deep, concentrated wines
La Garenne * was historically a garden in the village with atypical sandy soils in the heart of the village.
Wine Advocate: 95 Points
Aromas of crisp yellow orchard fruit and mirabelle plum mingle with notions of freshly baked bread, almond paste and white flowers in an inviting bouquet that introduces Dhondt's NV Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Cramant (2019), a full-bodied, ample and pillowy Champagne that unites texture, generous racy acids and a chalky structure. Seamless and complete, it concludes with a long, mineral finish.
