There is no doubt that Portugal is one of the hottest rising stars on the wine scene, and this fantastic red wine value is a perfect example! It’s a bright, juicy, quaffable red made from a blend of indigenous grapes including Touriga Nacional & Castelao, blended with a bit of Cabernet Sauvignon & Syrah for depth and body. It’s from the Tejo region in south-central Portugal from grapes grown in the Tejo valley in sandy pebbly soils. Harvested by hand, destemmed and crushed, with temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel.

It leads off with aromas of red and dark fruits, medium-plus in body, with soft tannins and notes of ripe red and black fruits into the long finish. Pair this up with Chicken, game, red meats, and traditional Portuguese food, burgers, pizzas and more! Great value and super price have earned this great everyday red a top 99 point Cree value score.
