Very dark in the glass. Full-bodied with great depth of fruit and velvety tannins. The acidity is quite low this year, the fruit and tannin very ripe and succulent. Long finish. A serious wine in a ripe, opulent vintage. Taken from a single hectare plot of 80-year-old vines in this famous lieu-dit, this wine spends 24 months in French oak barriques, 25% new.
