Vibrant, mineral-accented blackberry, blueberry and violet aromas pick up a spicy topnote with air. Concentrated red and dark berry, olive and floral pastille flavors display sharp focus and energetic drive thanks to a spine of smoky minerality. Finishes very long and sappy, with persistent blue fruit and floral qualities, subtle tannins and lingering spiciness.
Spicy and alive on the nose, vibrant and searching. This is expansive on the palate, but only medium-bodied with dense sweet tannins and a little sweetly ripe edge to the fruit. Really shot through with pliant tannins, this will offer lots of pleasure early on. Very much of its vintage, ripe and joyful.
