Chateau du Cedre Description

Appellation: AOC Cahors
Cepage: 100% Malbec
Terroir: Causses plateau (clayey-limestone soils) and terraces of the Lot valley (ancient alluvial deposits left by the river)
Age of vines: 15 to 30 years
Vinification: Vatting period of about two weeks - No winemaking additives are used except for low levels of sulphites before bottling
Maturation: 16 months in concrete tank

This blend of Malbec with 5% Merlot is made in a style that is easy and ready to drink relatively young. A fruity wine, it’s full of black-currant and plum flavors, with fresh acidity at the end. The wine is ready now.
