Eigashima Shuzo Description
Single malt whisky produced by Eigashima Shuzo in Akashi, Japan. Distilled twice in copper pot stills & aged 7 years in first fill ex-bourbon barrels. Notes of Pecans, stewed strawberries, allspice, and charred oak on the nose precede a spicy palate of clove, toasted black pepper, and vanilla bean; honey-drizzled peaches and grilled figs with a touch sea salt on the finish. Limited US release of only 492 bottles. Non-chill filtered; 50% ABV
The oldest US release from Eigashima Shuzo’s White Oak Distillery, this lightly peated single malt was aged entirely in first fill ex-bourbon barrels, resulting in a heavily spiced yet refined whisky.
