Augusta Distillery - "Buckner's" 10 Year Old Single Barrel Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

We just tasted two new, rare, limited release Kentucky Bourbons that the Bourbon world is buzzing about. While that’s a good enough indicator for us to request a sample an see for ourselves just what’s going on, it’s not infallible. But in this case we were so blown away by this duo of outstanding, aged Bourbons that we ordered all we could get, just a paltry six pack of each!

Aged 10 years in brand new American white oak barrels

Tasting Notes: Big, chewy and dense on the palate with rich caramel and dried black cherry notes followed by nuget, vanilla, toasted oak and charcoal with a finish that goes on and on. It exudes flavors of brown sugar, vanilla, and a dash of oak are balanced and revealed in smooth, cascading layers that only time a long time in cask can deliver. The finish is long, smooth and lingering, with waves of oak, baking spices, & a touch of sweetness.
