Seated in Biard, Grande Champagne since 1610, Guillon-Painturaud is an 18 hectare estate. Today, Line Guillon-Painturaud, one of Cognac's few female master distillers, signifies her family 's four centuries of experience. Ungi Blanc is the only varietal grown on the estate. After harvest, grapes are pressed, fermented, and twice-distilled on the lees, using a traditional copper still. The spirit matures in bespoke, French oak barrels sourced from Limousin and Troncais forests.
Guillon-Painturaud's VSOP is aged for an average of 15 years, far greater than required 4 years for the grade. This bottling, unfiltered and with no additives, earned four stars from Spirits Journal, and was named "Best Bargin Brandy" by Wine Enthusiast.
